In this old church on quiet days
a sound may be perceived
which has never been explained
"like a dog chanting"
from the vicinity of the clerestory.
And other sounds
like skittering of claws on stone...

and so deep and uncanny.
a vessel may find itself discommoded

That's when someplace secret in the ocean

Phantom hounds seem to be associated with lonely
