The Sound in the Church
02:33
|
|
||
In this old church on quiet days
a sound may be perceived
which has never been explained
"like a dog chanting"
from the vicinity of the clerestory.
And other sounds
like skittering of claws on stone...
Twilight is upon us, we must go.

The sea is all wet and it's very big
and so deep and uncanny.
a vessel may find itself discommoded
or be lost with no hope.
That's when someplace secret in the ocean
Snaggy gets the desperate message
dashing into action
with a baggy of contraptions.
Displaying no lack of alacrity
as he flies to their aid.
Righting a ship that's tipped,
another one frozen in ice chipped out and thawed.
Repairing a pontoon punctured by spiny urchins.
Not doing it for the fame or the glory
certainly not for the good of his health or fitness.
Fangy black and green and some say kind of stupid
but none would contest his knowledge and experience
in the realm of nautical emancipations.
Look out you're too close you're gonna fall of the edge of the sea you idiot! Oh no! Where's Snaggy? (Here he comes!)
Fangy long and black and green
and some say kind of stupid
dashing into action with a baggy of contraptions,
yeah that's Snaggy.

Phantom hounds seem to be associated with lonely
brooks and streams, where they appear (and disappear)
silently, as the dusk fades.
Consistent attributes are confirmed by eyewitness reports:
Larger than any Great Dane or mastiff
Blacker than the surrounding darkness.
It moved without making a sound
I’m certain it was aware of us
The eyes were red, and blazing like marshfires.
It leaped through a sort of opening in a hedgerow, and was gone.
My God, hand me that brandy and quick.
So when you’re in East Anglia
(Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire)
and the daylight is fading, near a brook,
a stream, or miraculous spring,
look round and you just might see a...

Pogonip (version II)
04:20
|
|
||
The Pogonip formation in Death Valley has a basal unit made of dolomite
and a middle unit of a reddish limy shale and sandstone including trash beds
containing abundant gastropod fossils.
Nearby is a less mundane formation, doesn't get much human visitation
and clearly could not have occurred by natural process
with a manifest aspect of extraterrestrialness:
an entire mountain range has been sculpted
into titanic crouching canine figures
each with a starry pschent of unknown constellations.
Distinguishing characteristics of gravels depends in part upon the kind of rocks from which they were derived
which could partly explain the unlikely behaviour
of gravels which have been derived
from erosion of those mountains which have been
carved into titan canine figures each with a starry pschent of unknown constellations.
They've volcanic vents for noses, so every ten thousand years or so
they puffs, smokes, and glowses.
Rare upper-atmosphere events
like noctollucent clouds and haloes aren't uncommon there
and the rock from which they're hewn has been found on the moon
but nowhere else upon the Earth
it's exclusively found in those mountains which have been
carved into titan canine figures
each with a starry pschent of unknown constellations.
those titanic crouching canine figures
each with a starry pschent of unknown constellations.
They've volcanic vents for noses, so every ten thousand years or so
they puffs, smokes, and glowses.
